Microsoft's PAX East line up targets families and game fanatics

Microsoft’s menu of Xbox 360 games for Boston’s PAX East, April 6-8, will encompass traditional and motion-based control methods, with a side-serving of Xbox Live download exclusives.

The annual Boston-based expo is an offshoot of what is now called PAX Prime, a steadfastly fan-focused convention in Seattle that exhibits a plethora of video games, board games, concerts and crazy tests of gaming-based skill.

Microsoft is planning to bring along the family focused Kinect Sports 2, Kinect Star Wars and Wreckateer alongside two motion- and voice-controlled titles designed to appeal to the more traditional video game fan, Steel Battallion: Heavy Armor and Crimson Dragon.

Games scheduled to appear as downloads in the near future include long-awaited motocross title Trials Evolution, post-apocalyptic platformer Deadlight, delightfully animated side-scroller Dust: An Elysian Tail, fantasy swordfighter Bloodforge, and the decidedly child-friendly Fable: Heroes.

The catalog joins confirmed exhibits and demos from other publishers including Assassins Creed III, Borderlands 2, Sleeping Dogs, Hitman: Absolution and Super TIME Force.
