Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault announced, coming to PSN
Ratchet & Clank are celebrating their tenth anniversary this year with an HD Collection, featuring remastered versions of the PS2 trilogy that started it all. But, if that is not enough Ratchet or Clank for you, Insomniac Games has announced yet another addition to the long-running platformer franchise.
Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault is coming later this year. While it’s only been a few months since the release of All 4 One, FFA takes a different approach. “We’ve returned to the series’ classic feel, camera, controls and weapons, while innovating and giving you a whole new way to play,” Insomniac CEO Ted Price stated in the announcement.
Like A Crack in Time, FFA will not be a full retail release. Instead, it will be distributed exclusively via the PlayStation Network. There will also be “online features.”
Apparently, this game’s announcement is not the promised “special surprise” that Insomniac had waiting for fans. Price tells the PlayStation.Blog that stated surprise will be “coming in the next couple of weeks.” Given E3 is just a few days away, it means you can begin speculating… now. (We’re guessing FFA will be included in the HD Collection.)
